Hendersonville, Fletcher and Asheville Bible Study

Jesus said: “and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

The Asheville Bible Study is a community outreach effort of Grace Baptist Church.  Our prayer, as a church, is that this initial Bible Study effort will be blessed by the Lord and that it will lead to the establishment of a Reformed Baptist church plant in the Asheville area.  We see this as part of Christ’s commission to the Church that we are to spread the Gospel and plant churches both near home (Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria) as well as abroad on the foreign mission field.

This outreach started in July 2006 with members from Grace Baptist meeting with people from the Hendersonville, Fletcher and Asheville area in Fletcher Park for an evangelistic Bible study approximately every two weeks throughout the summer.  Starting in the fall of 2006, the meetings moved to the home of Greg & Lisa Hostetler who are members of Grace Baptist and live in Hendersonville.   The Lord has blessed and an increasing number of families have been attending these  meetings.

If you are interested in more information or if you are interested in attending, assisting in our evangelistic efforts or other activities surrounding the meetings, please come to our meetings or contact the church at 864-322-7717.

We also have an evangelistic blog: Asheville Conversations. The blog contains the latest information and updates about the Bible study and evangelistic efforts, and a forum for questions, discussion and discipleship.

Remember, for the most updated information (especially weather updates for the meetings) please consult the blog.
